Implementation Advisory Group

Delivery and oversight of the BSL National Plan 2023-2029 is supported by the Implementation Advisory Group (IAG). The IAG consists of third sector organisations who are made up of, represent, work with, and support Deaf and deafblind people in Scotland, including BSL users. The IAG is chaired by the Scottish Government and meets quarterly to discuss progress of the National Plan and ongoing and emerging issues with BSL, offering their lived experience and expertise to support delivery of the actions.

The organisations that make up the Implementation Advisory Group are as follows:

• National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS)
• Scottish Ethnic Minority Deaf Charity (SEMDC)
• Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE)
